The Farmhouse of
"Val d‘Eden" is located at Gordes
After
a turn of the road you will have the splendid vision of Gordes, village perched on a rocky outcrop vis-a-vis
Lubéron.
Its houses built of white or gray dry stones are aligned in spiral around
the rock on which the village is posed, the church and the castle at the
top which face the hills of Lubéron.
Its privileged
situation, its exceptional charm and its typical architecture classified
it as "one of the most beautiful villages of France".

While walking in its
small "caladées" lanes which slip between the high houses of the
village, you will discover here and there superb old doors, vaults and
walls of punts stones learnedly restored and on the terraces, a sumptuous
panorama will be offered to you on the valley and the mountain of Luberon.
In the center of the village of Gordes, you
will be able to visit its imposing castle fortress which shelters the town
hall and the museum "Pol Mara", contemporary Flemish painter.
The
curious village of the bories also worth visiting : the bories are kinds
of small round huts built of stones and used before by the shepherds and
hunters.
Without any doubt Gordes is the most
admirable village of Vaucluse, it enjoys a success and a world reputation
and attracts many of great industries managers and a lot of stars of the
show business who elected residence there. The best seller "A year in
Provence" of Peter Mayle also had to contribute to it !
